ABOUT DR. SALTZMAN

Earl S. Saltzman, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist, received his doctorate in 1965 and his post-doctorate fellowship in child and adult psychology in 1967. He was the chief psychologist at a residential treatment center for five years. Dr. Saltzman is well known by the professional and lay community for having developed Structured Discipline Communication Therapy, an innovative and very successful approach for treating children and adolescents. He is also the co-author of a book on step-parenting. Many youngsters and their parents are thankful for the positive effect Dr. Saltzman has had on their lives. Dr. Saltzman has been in private practice in Houston since 1972.

Dr. Saltzman has been trained extensively in Rational Emotive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by renowned psychologist Dr. Albert Ellis and his staff at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City. He is the only Associate Fellow of the Ellis Institute in the Houston area to use this effective approach to benefit adults, adolescents, and children alike.

Dr. Saltzman has lectured throughout America and around the world. His topics include solving the challenges of marriage, the psychological issues of adulthood such as depression, anxiety and anger, ADD/ADHD, and child/adolescent issues at home and school.
